dockerでサクッと外部メールサーバへサブミッションポート(587/tcp)を利用して転送するメールサーバを構築する。

自宅サーバを運用していると、メールを送信したいケースも多いのですが、契約しているプロバイダがOP25B(Outbound Port 25 Blocking)が導入されている場合には、仕方なく契約しているプロバイダやGmail等のメールサーバのサブミッションポート(587番ポート)で認証した上でメールを送ることになります。

とは言ったものの、Railsサイトを構築している際や、Redmineやzabbix等を運用していると、「都度サブミッションポート用の設定を入れて~」なんてやっていられない為、我が家では、既存サーバ上にメールサーバを追加構築して、転送時に契約しているプロバイダのメールサーバ(587番ポート)経由でGmail等にメールを送るようにしています。

以前まではPostfixを導入して設定を入れて・・・と作っていたのですが、最近は適切なdockerイメージを利用した方が手っ取り早い為、docker-mailserverを使って手っ取り早く家庭内⇒外部中継メールサーバを構築した手順をご紹介いたします。

用語定義と前提条件

用語定義は下表のとおりです。

  • ルータで外部向け587番ポートを許可していること(大抵の場合デフォルトで許可されています)
  • 中継メールサーバのアカウント(無ければGmailアカウントで良いと思います)を持っており、サブミッションポート(587/tcp)でメール送信可能なこと

【dockerが入っていない/古い場合のみ】dockerのセットアップ

dockerのバージョンはdocs.docker.comで確認して、適宜最新版としてください。linuxタブを押すと、curl -Lのリンク先が書かれています。

今回は、単純にメールを外部中継したいだけですので、popやimap、サブミッションポートは不要で、25番のSMTPのみ待ち受けて、メールを受信したら中継メールサーバへ転送するように設定する為、以下のように編集します。

mailserver.envファイルは編集する箇所が多々あります。変更箇所は赤字にしている為、そこを修正してください。DEFAULT_RELAY_HOST、RELAY_HOSTはホスト名だけを入れてしまうと25番ポートあてに転送されてしまうため、大かっこでくくって、[your.mail.server]:587のように指定する必要があります。

dockerを起動させる

docker-compose.yml、mailserver.envのセットアップが終わったら下記コマンドで起動させます。

cd ~/docker/mailserver
docker-compose up -d

起動状態の確認と、メール送信ログは以下のように確認します。

cd ~/docker/mailserver

docker ps -a

# ログ確認
tail -f docker-data/dms/mail-logs/mail.log

後は、上記でセットアップしたサーバのIPアドレス:25番ポートに対してメールを送ってみてください。

トラブルシューティング

上記まで気軽に書きましたが、dockerでトラブルと「netstatが無い」から始まって、「viが無いからファイル編集が出来ない」等、何気に面倒です。

都度、docker rmして、docker-compose.yml、mailserver.envを編集して、docker-compose upするのも面倒なので、下記にトラブルシューティング方法をまとめておきます(と言うよりも、当方がハマって問題解決するのに頻繁に利用した内容です)。

(やっぱり面倒だ!)設定しなおしてイメージ再作成

# 停止して削除
docker stop mailserver
docker rm mailserver

# docker-compose.yml、mailserver.envを編集して・・・・
# 再度dockerイメージセットアップ・起動
docker-compose up -d

dockerイメージ中のbashシェルに入って設定変更して、postfix再起動して動作確認してみる

postfixで送信エラー等が発生している場合、直接main.cfをいじってpostfixのみ再起動した方がデバッグが速いので・・・変更しきって安定した場合にはdocker commitするか、docker-compose.ymlを修正して再セットアップしないと、次回再起動時に設定が元に戻ります。

なお、dockerイメージ内での設定変更は少しやりにくいのですが、簡単なファイル編集はsedで実施してしまえば何とかなります。後はリダイレクトも有効活用してください。
